Most school leavers move on to pursue their tertiary education after high school with little or no preparation. Undergraduates from IIUM realise this blemish and aim guide them to decide what course to be enrolled in according to their abilities and potential. The university has taken up the duty to mould the future generation with infusion of poise and confidence.
WHAT
More often than not, students from the rural area are not as lucky as their urban counterparts in receiving career guidance before enrolling in a particular course. Mission A++ through a series of seminars and motivation sessions, exposes underprivileged students from Gua Musang to the actual learning experience and inculcate the desire to push forward academically.
WHY ?
Identifying the abilities and potentials that are suitable and aligned with the students’ passion and dreams is crucial to determine the track of their tertiary education. The activities lined-up not only focus on inspiring the students towards their desired field of studies, it also targets to improve their communications, problem solving and critical thinking skills – all crucial to face the challenging and unpredictable life ahead.
HOW ?
Around 100 Form 5 students from eight different schools within Gua Musang district, Kelantan are selected to undergo clinics and workshops to instil self confidence and motivate them to be a better person holistically. The undergraduates from IIUM will be their mentors and facilitators.
