Partnership with PetroSaudi

The US$2.5 billion joint-venture between 1MDB and PetroSaudi International Limited will open the door for the entry of investments from the Middle East into the region, thereby giving Malaysia the edge in drawing investments.

Bandar Malaysia

The urban redevelopment of the old airport in Sungai Besi is designed to support Greater KL as a new engine of growth. Bandar Malaysia will promote liveability as a distinctive urban character for Greater KL as it competes for talent, wealth and investments in the global arena.

Kuala Lumpur International Financial District (KLIFD)

KLIFD will be a dedicated international financial district promoting Malaysia as an international and Islamic financial centre. The 75-acres real-estate development in the heart of KL is intended to tightly cluster important banking and financial entities. KLIFD will be the enabler for a new leg growth - an iconic destination and a model for easier cooperation.

Carbon-neutral city

Masdar, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Mubadala Development Company focused on renewable energy and sustainability, and 1Malaysia Development Berhad ("1MDB") are jointly exploring clean technology projects and investments, including the possibility of building Malaysia's first carbon-neutral city.
