Treat for local football fans thanks to strong ties with Manchester City Abu Dhabi owners
KUALA LUMPUR, 13 July 2012: Malaysian football fans will be in for a treat when special charity tickets for the “Harimau Muda vs Manchester City” go on sale starting Friday 20 July 2012.
50,000 special charity tickets will be sold at an affordable discounted price of RM10 each to ensure that local fans of all backgrounds will be able to see our local heroes take on the English Premier League champion which will feature among others, Vincent Kompany, Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure and Carlos Tevez.
The match will be held at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium on 30 July 2012 at 9.30pm.
Sixty percent of the proceeds from this sales will be donated to Yayasan 1MDB (“1Malaysia Development Berhad”), a foundation established by the Government-owned strategic development company to help Malaysians in areas of education and healthcare, and aid to the poor.
This arrangement is made possible through the special ties between Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak and both the Club’s Owner and its Chairman.
The tickets will be on sale via Ticket Pro in special outlets in the Klang Valley
In addition to the special charity tickets, die-hard fans who want to be closer to the action on the field can purchase premier tickets, which are available at the same outlets.

In welcoming this opportunity for local football fans, Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib said that fans from all walks in life will have the opportunity to turn up in full force to support the national team, and in the process see a thrilling match.
The Prime Minister also expressed his appreciation to the Club’s owner for bringing the English Premier League champions to Malaysia, and said this is a testimony of the strong ties between Malaysia and Abu Dhabi.
During their trip to Kuala Lumpur, the Club will also take part in an open training session, a fans’ meet and greet event in addition to holding soccer school clinics.
