Competition is said to be the best form of motivation. Playing games and quizzes on what you have studied has got to be the most fun and entertaining way to learn and improve your grasp of the school syllabus. Lien Yu, an academic blogger with a keen following, is now expanding into games. From providing exam tips, work book exercise and exam papers on his blogs, he is now crafting an aps-based game for SPM and STPM candidates as a different way to revision.
WHAT ?
This Quiz Game Project, based on SPM and STPM questions, will be dynamic and interactive. Already a major hit among Lien Yee’s blog followers, the game, with several level of difficulties and stages plans to make gamers out of players, in a totally beneficial way.
WHY ?
After five years of running an academic blog that had more than 180,000 users following its exam tips, workbook exercise and trial papers, Joshua wants to add some elements of fun into revision. His idea is to provide an alternative method of learning by testing the students’ understanding on what he/she has learnt in school, and turn them competitive.
HOW ?
Joshua will develop and manage this interactive application on his website as well as social website targeting students sitting for SPM and STPM examinations. Quizzes based on chapters according to levels of difficulty will be posted on the website. The results of the quiz will then be displayed on a scoreboard. This method will excite the students to attempt more questions and serve as a mode of revision.
