Mohd Hazem Abd Rahman - Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer

Hazem has over 17 years experience in various sectors including banking, equities and the power sector, with extensive experience in overseeing corporate planning and strategy, investor relations, management and operations, as well as operational turnaround activities. Previously, Hazem was with a major conglomerate and his last held position was Managing Director at one of its subsidiaries. Hazem graduated with a B.Sc. Management – Banking & Finance from the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, US. Hazem joined 1MDB as the Chief Operating Officer in August 2012.

Azmi Tahir - Chief Financial Officer

Azmi is an Australian qualified Chartered Accountant with more than 15 years experience in investment banking and corporate management. Before joining 1MDB, Azmi was leading the corporate finance advisory services at a global professional services firm and has held various senior banking positions including the regional Islamic finance head at an international financial institution. He has cumulative experience in audit, planning and budgeting, corporate finance, M&A, business development and strategic management. Azmi graduated from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, and holds dual degrees, Bachelor of Commerce and LLB.

Siti Aishah Md. Lassim - Chief Human Resource Officer

Aishah drives the human capital development at 1MDB. She brings 20 years’ experience from diverse industries, including banking, capital markets, management consulting and technology. She has received several recognitions, namely the HR Leadership Award at the 2010 Asia’s Best Employer Brands Awards and 2009 Asia HRD Congress Award for her contribution to the HR community. Prior to joining 1MDB, Aishah was the Chief Group Human Resources Officer with a noted regulator.  Aishah holds a Master and Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University, USA.

Jasmine Loo Ai Swan - Executive Director, General Counsel

Jasmine is a lawyer by training. Before 1MDB, Jasmine was the Head, Legal & Compliance of a public listed company and a partner at a leading Kuala Lumpur law firm. She has advised on a broad variety of corporate law, focusing mainly on M&A, debt and equity restructuring, corporate finance and capital markets. Jasmine is a graduate from the University of Sheffield, UK, with an LLB (Hons) degree and the University of Malaya with a Masters in Law. She has been admitted as an advocate and solicitor in West Malaysia, and is a licensed company secretary.

Vincent Koh - Acting Chief Investments Officer

Vincent has more than 10 years of experience in investment, strategy & business planning, business management and business development. He has worked directly and alongside with business owners, entrepreneurs and senior professional executive managers and held senior positions in those companies operating in a wide range of industries. Prior to joining 1MDB, he was the chief operating officer of a Kuala Lumpur-based private equity firm.

Dato' Haji Azmar Talib - Chief Executive Officer - 1MDB Real Estate Sdn. Bhd.

Dato’ Azmar is an expert in executing project management framework and processes. He has vast experience in real estate development including development planning, project implementation, property marketing, management and investment. Prior to joining 1MDB, Dato’ Azmar was the Chief Executive Officer of a property arm of a GLC. He holds a Certificate in Project Appraisal/Risk from Harvard Institute of Internal Development and Advanced Diploma in Estate Management from Universiti Teknologi Mara.

Tan Hwa Min - Executive Director, Strategy - 1MDB Real Estate Sdn. Bhd.

Hwa Min has over 13 years of experience in management consulting, technology, operations management and business development. He specializes in planning and leading complex organization-wide transformation programs. His assignments have led him to work with various global companies and across a wide range of industries. Prior to joining 1MDB, he was a Senior Manager with a global consulting company. Hwa Min holds a Degree in Computer Science with Management Science from the University of Kent (UK) and a MBA from Imperial College (UK).

Ir. Dr. Ong Peng Su - Chief Executive Officer - Powertek Energy Sdn. Bhd.

Dr Ong has more than 30 years experience in the power business. He was the Executive Director/CEO of Powertek Energy Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Tanjong Energy Holdings Sdn Bhd) since April 2009, and a Director of Powertek Berhad since 1993. He assumed his current position following the acquisition of Powertek Energy by 1MDB in May 2012. Ong holds a PhD in Power Systems and first class honours degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland. He is a Registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia and a member of The Institute of Engineers, Malaysia.

Devendran Sinnadurai - Chief Operating Officer - Powertek Energy Sdn. Bhd.

Devendran has over 19 years experience in the power industry and other business sectors with broad corporate experience in strategy and business development, projects and corporate finance. Prior to joining Powertek Energy, Devendran was a senior vice president at a leading conglomerate, heading its investments and acquisitions team, and has previously worked at private and government-owned power companies in the country. Devendran graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Mathematical Science) and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the University of Adelaide, Australia.
